We are pursuing a property at Groman Shores. It will have to be appraised and the owners will decide whether or not to accept the offer at that point. That's it for now.

Cathy Goodnough came to our general membership meeting on Sunday May 4th. She provided an update on the Sandy Pond Channel Maintenance Association activities. She mentioned that there is curently access to the lake from both sides of the
island without the need to go around it. There was some conversation about the IJC (International Joint Commision) who are the people that decide on the levels of water that is maintained in the Great Lakes. If you are interested in learning more

Below is the response from the regional fisheries manager to a request for information regarding the status of the grant for access to the pond for a boat launch.

Mr. Harvey, we are currently following up on several leads on properties that may be available on the pond. Once we've
aquired a property, we have 1/2 a million dollars to develop it. We are looking for a site that will serve well as a boat launch
and an ice fishing access. Stay in touch and we will keep you posted on our progress.
